WE BRING FOCUS

WHAT WE DO

The public sector is becoming increasingly complex, with a growing need for integrated thinking, multi-skilled teams and an ability to bring people together to work towards a common goal.

Rationale are nationally regarded as trusted advisors and innovators within New Zealand's public sector. We work with our clients to shape investment, develop strategy, and tell stories, while ensuring all our work is backed up by evidence and analysis. We aim to see our projects implemented, ensuring they make a difference to the communities we work within.

We offer a continuum of services – from early evidence gathering, community engagement and direction setting to analysis and  optioneering. We manage and integrate a wide array of thinking and evidence into key strategic deliverables such as Spatial Plans, Masterplans, AMPs, Organisation Transformation Plans as well as key statutory documents that inform public sector investment.

All stages in our continuum are about adding more depth and focus to an investment proposal or strategic objective.

Rationale’s ability to distil complex issues down to easy digestible and understandable packages is a real strength. They lead stakeholders, politicians and end users through the business model processes with confidence, cementing their position as leaders in their field (Ross Ashby, Project Manager, Thames-Coromandel District Council).
