Professional Overview

Ben joined Rationale in early 2022 after deciding to move down to Queenstown in search for more exciting lifestyle options. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in Engineering Science, and a Bachelor of Science at The University of Auckland. Upon completion of his studies, he worked at Waka Kotahi for two years as a traffic engineer, before joining Rationale.

Ben’s strengths reside in applying strong analytical skills to tackle problems using an evidence-based approach. He has strong numerical and computational skills which he leverages to carry out data analysis and modelling to support decision-making. He plans to get involved in various projects to build a solid foundation in the field of infrastructure.

Personal Overview

Outside of work Ben is very keen on the outdoors and team sports, being a lifelong passionate footballer. Ben is also an avid traveller and particularly enjoys going to remote places in search of rare wildlife. He likes having side projects to work on during weekends; last year building his own E-bike and this year converting a campervan. He is eager to explore how life in Queenstown can help him achieve an optimal balance between his professional and personal life.
